• The inspiration for this photograph came from the minotaur and his labyrinth that are generally viewed as symbolic of internal conflict and the struggle with one’s animal nature.
The bull also refers to sexuality which I thought would perfectly work for a portrait of a friend and his sex additction.

 • Photograph shot in Avignon/ France.

Snakes are tricky animals but on the photoshoot "sniki" was moving quite slow so I was able to sort of anticipate his moves a little, not all the time though!

I like symbolism and the concept for this photograph was to depict a non-conformist, modernised version of Adam fully embracing his freedom.

I also wanted to emphasize the humain/animal nature with the bond between the "hipster" man, regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream and the serpent (portrayed in the Bible as a deceptive creature or trickster, who promotes as good what God had forbidden).

It took many shots to create that photograph...
The whispering effect was just what I was looking for!

 • Meeting Burlesque performer Voluptueuse Orchidee was an important step in the development of my photography. Not only she is absolutely gorgeous but she is an incredible human being.
Her personal story inspired this image I chose to call "Healing". Born and raised with strict catholic values she's found her own "salvation" in burlesque, shaping her body and identity by exploring her past repressed feminity.
• Part of my work deals with the notion of self and identity . Probably due to the fact I was bullied when I was a kid, I tend to glorify or humanize people that may be considered as marginals, different, the ones that may be called "weird" or "misfits".
My "punk encounter" was quite decisive in the path I have decided to take in regards to my artistic vision.
I do have to admit it took me quite a few minutes to decide wether or not I would approach my subject (I felt quite intimidated by the way he looked) but I'm glad I did. He looked at first quite defensive when I approached him - maybe he expected me somehow to tell him to go away or something (he's probably used to it). I just said " wait! I think you look great and I want to make a beautiful portrait of you!" and then he stopped and with pride and dignity in his eyes he posed for me. Something happened, it just felt like we both dropped our defense mechanism and somehow connected. It just felt great.
People usually connect with this photograph and this is when I tell myself : mission accomplised.

 • This is a very personal photograph, a self-portrait I created while in a phase of depression. It represent an existential crisis and indecision.

 • Photograph made on the Mayan site of Chichen Itza in Mexico in December, 21st 2012. Many people linked the end of the mayan calendar to some end of the world predictions. The atmosphere was quite incredible with people communing, chanting, meditating.
