Healing, 2011

Meeting Burlesque performer Voluptueuse Orchidee was an important step in the development of my photography. Not only she is absolutely gorgeous but she is an incredible human being.
Her personal story inspired this image I chose to call "Healing". Born and raised with strict catholic values she's found her own "salvation" in burlesque, shaping her body and identity by exploring her past repressed feminity.
